What exactly is permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry is a custom-fit chain—usually a bracelet, anklet, or necklace—that is welded together using a specialized spark machine, eliminating the need for a clasp.

Does the welding process hurt?

Not at all! The spark only reacts to the metal of the chain. We use a protective leather barrier during the process to ensure your skin is completely safe and comfortable.

What materials do you use for your chains?

We use high-quality, hypoallergenic materials including 14k Gold Filled and Sterling Silver to ensure your jewelry remains tarnish-resistant and skin-friendly for years to come.

What if I need to remove it for a medical procedure?

If you need to remove your jewelry for an MRI or surgery, you can simply cut the small jump ring with a pair of scissors. Save your chain, and we can re-weld it for you for a small service fee.

Can I travel through airport security with permanent jewelry?

Yes! TSA does not require you to remove fine jewelry when passing through airport security, so your Sunstone pieces can travel with you worldwide.

Do I need to book an appointment?

While we do accept walk-ins when possible, we highly recommend booking an appointment through our website to guarantee a time slot with our jewelry artists.
